21 days…
By admin | February 12, 2008
There has been many scientific studies about habit changing techniques to get your life in order. Some say it takes 6 months, some say 3 months, some say 45 days but the most common and agreed upon time to actually change or acquire a new habit is exactly 21 days. Who says this? Many people…but this isn’t the point.
The point is that if you’re at a point in your life where you and your brain are rotting and there is no way for you to get out of the same vicious cycle of same old thing, then you can at least try out this theory. Do what the experts say…
Pick one or two weak qualities or habits about yourself. It can be a character trait such as laziness or an activity which you’d like to make a habit or rid a bad habit that you have. Ask yourself a couple of questions…what is the purpose of me wanting to change this habit of mine? Why? The How part is answered in this article…
How do you do it?
21 days. Yes exactly. Decide from this point on or tomorrow and set yourself the goal of doing the habit that you’d like to acquire on daily basis for 21 days straight. If for some reason you falter or unable to do after day 4 or 5…get yourself up, dust off and start again from day 1. If you’re serious about changing yourself and are tired of this sick habit of yours, then this 21 day habit changing technique is probably the best possible way out of it.
Anyway have fun. I’ve started on a couple of things myself. How else would you get your life in order? You can’t change everything you hate about yourself all at once so do it one step or habit at a time. Pick out a bad habit of yours and dedicate 21 days of consistency against it, and if you’re true to yourself and honest about changing your state of misery, then you should not have a hard time reaching your goal.
What do you do after 21 days? You don’t have to do anything because by the time you reach it, you’ve already made it a habit.

I like it.
Thank you.
I will try.
Thank you.
Tomorrow
Perhaps.
Maybe I’ll put it off for 21 days before I try what I am going to try.
Will see.
Thanks again.
